  I guess it's no surprise, but I got books for Christmas. I thought I'd share some of the great books I received.  The Bane Chronicles   This anthology of short stories about warlock, Magnus Bane of the Shadowhunter Chronicles, is something I have been wanting to read for a while. I didn't read the stories when they were released individually because it was only in ebook form. When it came out as a full book, I was beyond excited! I've read about half of it so far, and it is hilarious. Thank you Cassandra Clare for giving us even more of our favorite warlock even if his time might have come to an end.  I'll Give You the Sun   I literally don't know anything about this book other than it's about twins, but one of my favorite booktubers, Polandbananabooks, recommended it as one of her favorites from 2014.   If you're like me, and buying book t-shirts is depleting your bank account, then you may be looking for a way to express how much you love books that won't make you go broke. BUT NEVER FEAR. LIBBY THE BOOK AVENGER IS HERE. Here are some cheap ways to come out as a book nerd, even though everyone already knows. 1. Buy Book Buttons. (Do you like my alliteration?)   Mine are currently attached to my backpack but you can put them anywhere. I bought mine from Parnassus, my local bookstore, but you can probably find them at chains, such as Books-A-Million. They usually come in deals like "buy 4 for a dollar" so they're super cheap. They say fun stuff like "I like big books and I cannot lie" The Percy Jackson ones may be a little harder to find. I got them at a Rick Riordan event where they gave them out. Specialized pins are more expensive, but generic book pins will cost you almost nothing.  2. Make a Book Collage   This one is super ...

  This book is probably one of my favorites of all time. I loved it so much that I can barely express it using words. It was that good! This book is about a girl named Anna who is shipped off to boarding school in Paris, where she meets St. Clair, an American with a French name and an English accent. Sadly, he has a girlfriend. As Anna struggles to adjust to her new life, she gains new friends and learns more about her old ones. Will she favor Paris more than Atlanta? Will she peruse her dream to be a film critic? Will she finally kiss St. Clair?   Lola and the Boy Next Door  by Stephanie Perkins is an adorable contemporary about a girl named Lola, who is crazy and outrageous, and her next door neighbor, Cricket. The book is hilarious, but also covers some tough topics. It's technically second of a series, the first one being Anna and the French Kiss , but it follows different characters with a few glimpses into the lives of the previous characters. Absolutely amazing! *****SPOILERS*****   This book was so perfect. I am so in love with the characters, so hats how I'm going to organize this review.  Lola Nolan-  I have mixed feelings about Lola. After having loved and related to Anna so much, I felt distant from Lola. I couldn't see myself in her. She also made some questionable decisions that I didn't agree with, so I didn't really start liking her until she broke up with Max. I mean, I admired her as a person who is outgoing and corageous, but I couldn't really feel  her, ya know? Apart from that, ...

  Hold on everybody, this is going to be a long one. If you don't want it ruined for you, I suggest you leave now.  *****SPOILERS*****   From the moment I read "I'm the son of Poseidon. I can't drown and neither can my pancakes."  I knew it was going to be a good book. I highlighted so many paragraphs and lines that basically my entire book was colorful.    I'm not sure how I feel about Rick's choice of POV's. On the one hand, I like the flip-flop between the Argo Crew and the Parthenos Gang (yes, that's how I'm referring to Nico, Reyna, and Coach Hedge), but I was a little upset about everyone not having a narration. It felt unbalanced. I guess it does feel like the book has come full circle (like frank hehehehe) in the fact that Lost Hero started with Jason, Piper, and Leo and that's how the series ended. I feels like closure, which is one thing I wish we'd had more of.    I am especially triumphant because I predicted Leo's end. ...

  So with almost all schools back in session, I'd like to share some books that not only are amazing reads, but will also look great with your first day of school outfit. These are the kind of books that will either warm your heart so you're smiling to yourself or crush your soul with never ending feels. Good luck figuring out which one is which! 1. Percy Jackson and the Olympians/Heroes of Olympus   The first one will always be Percy Jackson. I hope this didn't surprise you. These books are amazing and absolutely hilarious. If you haven't read them, you are missing out. The author, Rick Riordan, recently released a collection of Greek myths told from the point of view of Percy.   Since BoO comes out in less than a month, I thought I'd discuss my theories with you.   My first couple theories revolve around Nico di Angelo, not surprisingly. I feel almost certain that he will have confront his fears and feelings and talk to Percy. I don't know what circumstances will lead to this confrontation, but it's gonna happen! Said circumstance may involve Nico dying...don't start screaming!    I've been pondering Nico dying since the end of SoN, when it was said that he was missing (I think that's when it happened). Then, after MoA, I was certain he was going to die in HoH. So many passages during that book elude  to that end, BUT IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. All those conversations with Hazel about the House of Hades being especially dangerous to them, and it didn't happen.    I was so sure, because he's just the right amount of devastating without killing one of the seven.
